It’s almost time to head for the airport, but it’s what’s in the bag that counts! Making a list several days in advance will ensure you have everything you might need. Bathing suits, sunscreen, sandals and a sun dress… but wait, before I close the bag for the last time, I check the weather at www.weather.com for the latest update for the week. While I am planning for the 72 degree weather Tuesday, I might overlook the high of 58 degrees by Friday. Be ready for that chill in the air and pack a pair of jeans and a jacket!
Bringing that favorite book you’ve wanted to read is a must for the flight down or lazy day on the beach. An IPOD loaded with your favorite holiday music is a great idea for longs walks on the sand dunes. As an avid reader, I have found the solution to weighing down with a few pounds of books for a trip. While some choose to leave their books when finished, instead of carrying them home, www.Amazon.com offers a creative solution! The Kindle wireless reading device brings thousands of books to your fingertips and at 10.2 ounces, there is hardly a paperback that out weighs it! Amazon’s “Kindle Store” has downloads available without the use of a PC and in usually less than 60 seconds. You can’t get through any checkout line in that length of time and you will have an endless supply of reading choices on even your longest vacation! With Amazon’s free shipping on sales of $25 or more, in just a couple of days you can be reading anywhere…
It’s almost time to listen for my “A 27” boarding pass to be called, so buckle up and know that it will be a smooth ride all the way there!
